Daily Bulletin

Ferndale Area Junior-Senior High School Bulletin for Sunday, December 17, 2017

Please remind students that their daily planner is their hall pass. There will be no more passes given from the office. Students are to have their planners with them at all times.

Students must sign up to ride the activity bus. If you plan to use the activity bus, please sign up in the office during homeroom or your lunch period. If no one signs up to ride the bus, the bus will not be scheduled to run that evening.

**Students in grades 9-12...looking for community service hours??? The elementary school is in need of student tutors to help in the homework room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:00. Students can ride the bus to the elementary but will need their own transportation home. If interested, stop by the office.

**Student Council is hosting a "food-raiser" to help the "Cambria County Backpack Project" alleviate the costs of providing our elementary students with food on the weekends. If you are able to donate, please bring in packs of jello or fruit cups. The more we donate the more funds the program is able to allocate to fresh fruit and dairy products.

On November 13, we began tracking daily attendance for each grade level. The grade level with the highest average daily attendance and the least amount of tardies will be awarded an invitation to a breakfast buffet in the cafeteria, during homeroom, on January 19. The breakfast buffet will consist of some of your favorite breakfast items such as a funnel cake buffet, hot chocolate buffet, and more! Please watch the PBIS wall as it will be updated daily with the grade level who has the highest average daily attendance each day! Please remember this is a grade level award, not an individual award. The challenge is to work together, as a grade level, to bring your peers to school on time!

The December Incentive Day is just around the corner. On December 22, the PBIS Team will offer an incentive day for those students who can comply with a few guidelines. This time around, we will be looking for: · No Unexcused Days Absent · No Unexcused ½ Days Absent · No more than 1 Tardy to school ¨ No failing grades; NONE v Zero Discipline Referrals; none whatsoever. The timeframe for all of the aforementioned criteria will be from December 1 until the Incentive Day; December 22, 2017 Activities offered at the December Incentive Day will be a Quads Tournament, movies with snacks, individual teacher-led activities and more to come. Stay in school, stay out of trouble, and stay eligible to participate in the Incentive Day prior to leaving for Christmas Break!!

Students: the basketball boosters are looking for several student volunteers to run the concession stand during the junior high and varsity boys' and girls' home basketball games. If interested in helping out and getting some community service hours, please stop by the office to sign up ASAP. 2 volunteers are needed for every game.

Our Lost and found box is overflowing. If you are missing something that may have been left in the school, please come in and take a look. Anything not claimed before Christmas break will be donated.
